I know why I was banned

After appealing my case and I still maintain my innocence, I figured out how I was wrongly banned.

Character name: Kásual

Multiple players who were paying my guild gold for a spot in our pre-made battleground teams were using a gold seller to pay us. Without my knowledge, I accepted gold that was used in a transaction for real money. I found this out when I started asking around and going through my channels to see if the players we were selling spots for in game gold (absolutely no different than PvE guilds sell T2 helms from Onyxia) were banned also.

So after my investigation, I figured out that I unknowingly took bought gold for an in-game service I was providing to other players. This was completely without my knowledge. I never ever bought gold with real currency in this game like Viper has accused me of doing and it doing so is slanderous to my character and guild.

I feel I ran a legit operation. When payment was due, the customer logged on a character and traded me gold for the in game service myself and guild provided. Should I have to ask every single person, "Hey this isn't bought gold is it?" Do PvE guilds ask every single person where their gold has come from?

Myself and guild mates carved out a niche service and made some gold for doing it, never once breaking the terms of use Nostalrius has posted on their forums and was banned for it. We were paid with dirty gold, simple as that. Would you ban someone for opening the UBRS door with dirty gold? I doubt it. Would you ban the GM of <NOPE> if he accepted payment for selling a Bonereaver with bought gold? Nope.

A mistake has been made on my part and an injustice by the Nostalrius staff. Keep me banned and let this injustice ride out if you wish, but at least admit that you have zero proof I paid real currency for gold, because I never did.

As a final request before I leave this private (stolen) server, please relinquish Kásual the Flagship (guild master) rank and give it to BaptistJohn so the guild can operate normally.

To the rest of the players, be careful who you accept gold from when providing and in-game service for in-game gold, and remember the risks of playing on a server operated by unsavory people who stole intellectual property from another company.

What amount of gold did people pay you for this?
'
Could also be money laundering, anyways, it seems suspect.

What is suspicious about selling in-game services for in-game gold? Check out the marketplace on these forums, it's done by a lot of guilds. We just so happen to do it for PvP, which not many (if any) have done.

I won't discuss pricing because there are multiple factors involved based on amount of honor, time, the quality of the group, rep, etc. When price is agreed upon, half is given up front (but is held as a deposit in-case the player decides not to join the groups or not play), then half is given after the agreed amount of time/honor/rep is finished.

I found out in my personal investigation that there maybe be in-game devices that trigger when a certain number of gold is traded between characters, and even though we were providing an in-game service for in-game gold, our transaction may have triggered these devices. Without the Nastalius's staff's knowledge of services, yes I can see how this might look suspicious. Even more so when we were paid with bought gold for the in-game service we were providing. This is why I appealed and begged them to look into it in more detail, but they obviously didn't show me the same respect as other players.

It just seems like a very uncommen service, one i havent seen myself. Compared to big guilds handling thousands of gold per week, and having no problems with bans i dont see this as a problem.

So either your guild are laundering or goldtrafficking money, or this is a legit business. Maybe you should try to show examples of customers etc, to prove it, as of right now your explanation of this case is quite vague.

Vague? Are you trolling? I explained exactly how the service operates in this post and my appeal post. Premades (which we provided) win games which gives more honor and faster rep. An honor or rep farming service within the terms of use. An in-game service for in-game gold. No different then selling MC/BWL/Ony loot. But instead of farming dragons and scripted events, we farm players. I'm not sure if others offer the same service. I personally never saw it on horde side, perhaps Alliance? I know they have a lot of helmets on their side. Played against a ton of them. We were just getting off the ground.

This thread hasn't been locked yet, so the staff may be giving you one more shot at a review. The only thing I have to say about it is that it's a very risky service to run. I know that there is always a chance that someone will buy gold to get raid loot, but it just seems that as a whole the try hard pvp crowd on this server would gladly risk a ban by paying rl money for easy rep grinds. Just take a look at how many people get banned every week for anti afk botting. It's rediculous. For some reason the bg's seem to be a hotbed of bad activity. Maybe I'm dead wrong, but it's just what I've seen so far.
