after reviewing many of these other posts it looks like I was banned for buying gold.

I'm going to be honest here and admit to it. I bought 200g to gear up a little when I hit 60 so I could heal dungeons.

I had a buddy make my account so I never bothered reviewing terms and conditions. I started playing a couple months ago and you see folks in Org spamming about selling gold all day long. I had no idea that this was a perma-ban offense or even not allowed.

You guys can leave me banned if you want (my wife would love that). For other players sake, it would be nice if there wasn't gold sites being spammed in general and trade chat all day without any ingame warning of permanent ban.

Nice to see someone being honest about their ban. A (+1) from me.

Unfortunately it doesn't change things: you bought gold and got a ban. That ban is permanent.

There is a chat filter that will ban anyone that spams in public channels below lvl 15, so they are trying to take steps against that. Your assumption was flat wrong and it is your responsibility to read the ToS before you assume you know the rules. Gold sellers are very persistent and bold because people buy a lot of gold thinking they can get away with it. People are dumb.

This is exactly why you are encouraged to read the terms of use before playing. Many GM's have a link to it in their forum signature, there are links to it all over the main page, and if you made the account yourself you would have clicked this box before you could even start playing.





There are plenty of warnings, ignorance is not an excuse.

Not asking for anything here. I'm an adult, I'm fine with facing the consequences.

As for my friends account.. he got banned to and I'm afraid its my fault. I sent him 40g to help pay for his mount (he fairly recently hit 40). character name Cjseven. can you folks please review his account ban. He didn't do anything wrong.
