Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Character: Alfhild, undead mage, level 17, Nostalrius Begins PVP server.
I played earlier today, several hours ago I guess. I tried to log back in and got the message that my account was closed. I came to the website and under my account info it says "Your account has been banned permanently" but it doesn't say why, nor could I find out why by clicking the homepage as suggested.

Last time I played, I was in Undercity, putting some things on Auction House and chatting a bit. I can't imagine what I could have done to be banned, this was my only character, and I had just been questing, not fighting with anyone or doing any illicit.

I'd really like to know why I was banned.

Thanks for the reply. I've never bought or sold gold, so I assume someone else must have taken control of my account to do this. I understand the rules state that account security is my responsibility, but it would help me out if someone could tell the date and time when this supposed gold-trafficking took place?

I got the same ban for the same reason. And it's not just us, look on the forum, it looks like 50% of the servers seems gold traffickers. Dunno what marks us as gold traffickers but I bet it's not a human. It's a bad algorithm I guess.

I just finished running some scans and manually checking for any security breaks, and I've found nothing. No other accounts have been seized, not emails or games or my battle.net account, no suspicious login attempts. Nothing.

Therefore, I'm requesting my case be reviewed. I'm a part-time streamer, as are my friends who recommended this game to me. Because of this, some of our game play has been captured live and that video is available, time-stamped and all. Depending what time the alleged gold-trafficking took place, I could possibly prove what I was actually doing at that time if it was captured on stream. I can prove our Twitch accounts in private to a game master or admin.

If there's anything I can do to help prove this ban was a mistake, let me know. On the other hand, if this is all a big waste of my time, let me know that too please.

Friendly reminder that I'm still waiting for my ban appeal to be reviewed too. I see game masters are working hard, but I asked for a review before some of these other people who have already gotten replies, so I'm a little worried my case has slipped through the cracks.

50%? There are thousands and thousands of players on these servers, yet just a handful get banned every day. You're delusional.

It's really weird, you guys must've done something shady, I've passed tens and hundreds of gold via different accounts and level 1 characters and have not gotten one ban yet. I have been playing since the pvp server release.
