If you read the chat logs you can tell that it was beyond any doubt a joke. It couldn't possibly be a more obvious joke.

It was just a sentence. ""I am a GM that's why I type in blue :^)" were the exact words. If I wanted to impersonate staff I would have continued.

And it was not even in /w. It was in general chat as a joke response to someone asking me why I can type in blue.

Colours in chat are bannable as well, so why even doing that?

I had no idea colours in chat were bannable and almost half the people in chat were using them at that time. Could you decrease the penalty to using colours in chat if the are bannable then?
