My friend's account been banned for unknown reason.
Character's name Dambeldor

He's just started playing here, lvl6.

He probably got caught by the spam filter, which is very sensitive at low levels. It is adviced that you don't use the chat channels until you are level 15 - annoying, but unfortunately necessary to combat the gold sellers.

Can we get any details about it? What kind of "Hacking"?
Since, he got lvl 6 character, he can start new one, but he afraid he can be banned again for no reason, since he's not using any kind of hacks.

As far as i know, client modifications also considered hacking.
Ask your friend to make sure he is using clean unmodified client (no model editing etc.).

Is RU-localed client forbidden too?

Quite sure it is, since there was no official RU-client during vanilla times (it was released during TBC in the middle of 2008).
So any ru-wow vanilla version is manually localized aka modified client and technically may be the reason for account ban.
However you better inquite from GMs if exactly this was the case.

Yeah, blizzard added official RU locale at 2.4.3 patch... But many russians are using RU localed 1.12.1 clients XD

it's done through MPQs which are detected by the anti-cheat of nostalrius, also they are most likely for patch 1.12.2 which is also getting detected
