Node Exploit Appeal - Under Review - Setup

Character: Setup
Realm: PVP Realm
Reason: Banned for tapping thorium too many times.

When I realized the ore vein had more ore than usual, the first thing I did was open a ticket to ask a GM if the change was intentional. I kept tapping the mine while I waited for a response. I never received a response, but it became apparent to me the node was bugged, so I stopped mining and attempted to alert the staff with this thread:

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=29805

When the staff became aware of the bug, I deleted my GM ticket, and I also deleted all of the ore, gems, and arcane crystals from the bugged node. (Actually, I kept one arcane crystal, because I collected it within the first 4-5 taps of hitting the vein, meaning that I received it legitimately.) Having made every attempt to alert the staff, and having deleted all of the collected ore once I had realized it was a bug, I believe this ban is inappropriate.

Thank you for your consideration.

Notes:

(1) I started digging the moment the server came online after the reset.
(2) I stopped digging the bugged veins shortly before the system-wide notice went out that alerted players about the bug. I continued to look for legitimate veins after the notice went out, I found very little. I did not do any bugged digging after the notice.
(3) All of the digging occurred in Burning Steppes.
(4) The Ore was deleted almost immediately as it was mined, the arcane crystals were deleted some minutes later in a large pile before I logged off that night, so I could video record destroying them:

Edit January 11th: After having been available for several weeks, it looks like Twitch took down my video.

Aight so this is one of the accounts the GM's should take a second look at. Obviously didn't try to abuse the system and actually went ahead and reported the issue both ingame and on the forums.

Seems like proof to me they are overbanning accounts for this. If someone didn't tap a bugged node at least a dozen times I don't know why they'd be on the ban list.

I think we're all feeling confident these are going to be revisited and some bans lifted as has prevously happened after blanket bans. But man...this one is making me feel a tad anxious.

Actually Drain, my mistake was that I kept tapping while I waited for a GM to respond to my ticket. As it became apparent that it was likely bugged, I issued a ticket to get a GM to confirm or deny what was going on, and I continued to tap while I waited for the GM to respond. I tapped the ore vein maybe 60+ times while waiting, that's probably why my account got banned.

It ended up being a bug, so I destroyed the collected materials, and tried to alert the staff at a second location.

I have every confidence that Nostalrius will make the right decision following their investigation.

I don't know dude. You didn't stop after you submitted the ticket. 60+ taps on one vein is a lot. Not sure how the staff are going to evaluate these specific cases, but the fact that you kept going at it after you knew it was a bug doesn't bode well for you.

Ya. I'm afraid you're right. : (

These things...when they happen, make me feel as if we're all standing in front of a wall, taking turns, picking straws...to see who gets the short one.
