Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

My friend found his account had been banned today. The reason is "been banned as a result of being compromised".

He said his account had never been hacked and he had not ever change his password. He thought his accout is safe, do not know why GM thought it has been compromised?

Thanks for your hard work and we are all appreciated that. But we need more information about the "being compromised".

ye, i got the same resaon for my account:Mt, and i strongly ask to know more info. I only changed my password to add an "a", if "being compromised" is the reason lead to banned,i think my other account will be banned soon. I dont feel safe here now!

It means someone hacked the account basically. Not a big stretch to say your friends account was hacked since you posted his account name on a public forum, I'm sure neither of you are too terribly careful with your account info.

ye，Tife is my account too,but the role Mt is under the account "616619**",Tife belongs to the account "iwug**", so why ban my account "616619**", and i know my password was short and simple before,so when it was hacked,i changed it immediately, please forgive me this time,Mt is my first role in this server,if you really need to ban an account,pls ban the right account,pls.....i want my warr， if u check the log of accouts,you will find the accounts has same password before.

Well, I'm sure your warrior account got hacked also, since your account name is the same as your forum name. If your password was simple, it wouldn't take much to get into that account also. Tighten up your account security.

no,my warr account is not the same as my forum name,pls check it,it has a different number. and i want to know how u sure it was hacked,if the warr sold some items by AH to Tife,um ,that's what i did it by myself.If it was really hacked,dont u think ban a poor man who was hacked is cruel ? at least,pls give me a chance to check is it really hacked

I'm not a member of the staff. I'm just telling you the reasoning behind the ban from all of the similar cases I have seen.

You're either logging in from multiple VPNs to obscure something, or your account is being logged on to from an IP associated with compromised accounts.

Regardless, when it requires 5 paragraphs to explain how you and your friend have different accounts with a similar name, something else is up.....like in every other ban appeal.....

as you know,we china have poor english, so i cant understand totally.I dont know if u know that,in china ,we should use some VPNs to connect the server, and about of 95% chinese use "proxy 47" and "lonlife".
and i cant understand " it requires 5 paragraphs to explain ",which the account i appealed,thats all my accounts,there is no friend. And i know some other players in my guild have the same banned
