Account Banned, made new account to post on forums
Posted: Tue Jan 19, 2016 5:01 pmHello GM team! First off I'd like to say thank you for the great experience of Nostalrius and your continued efforts to keep our time as players as fun as possible.
Character: Baerz PvP Server(this was the character that I was last on before switching to play a few different games only to find out I was banned only 30 mins later)
Last night I received a notification that my account had been banned. Myself and my roommate, who play on the same IP provided by our Comcast ISP, were both banned due to what we believe must be a confusion based on our same IPs and transferring items from horde side on the PvP realm to alliance side on the PvP realm. I was on my horde character, Baerz, last before I received notification of the ban. We believe it to be a confusion regarding Multiboxing, as we are both on the same IP and both very much enjoy playing on Nostalrius and have been playing since release of the PvP realm. We have talked to a GM regarding this issue before and the GM assured us if we explained our situation thoroughly our problem would be heard. Also, even if accused of multiboxing to transfer items from one faction to the other using the neutral auction house; to my knowledge, this sort of action is sanctioned regarding the exceptions to the terms of use regarding "multiboxing" outlined in the Terms of Use page.
To quote the material I'm referring to:
- "The following rules are not meant to be exhaustive, and using multiple characters to level, farm reputation, run dungeons, do raids and/or engage in PVP is considered Multiboxing"
- "There are a few specific situations where you may have two characters in-game simultaneously, *only while both characters are in a major city*:
Transferring items between accounts;
Using professions, as long as no farming or material gathering is involved;
Crafting, enchanting, banking and/or for trading purposes that does not include the Auction House.
Portalling a second account only to and from major cities.
Playing simultaneously on both PvP and PvE realms. *Not restricted to major cities*"
If I am misunderstanding the rules, please clarify them for me so I do not make any sort of mistake against the terms of use again.
Also, I am having trouble using the account that was banned to access the forums, I assume this means my account is also banned from the forums so I have made a new account to post for my appeal.
