A different case

Dear GMs
Now, before I start, I wanted to say I know exactly what my account has been banned for, but I'd like you to read the rest of this wall of text. Basically what happened was, my recently ex-boyfriend (and I know all this because he explained the whole situation over text) came over to my house to collect his things. He said he needed to copy some photos of him and our dog to his flash drive and so I let him do that and I went to the kitchen to make him a cup of coffee, and as I was doing that, he launched a program in the same folder as vanilla WoW (I was playing it at the time of his arrival) called 'INSTABAN DO NOT RUN', which was sent to me by a friend and I never bothered deleting it but I never planned on using it either. I got him the coffee, he said he has everything, drank it, went home, I noticed WoW has 'disconnected from the server' so I decided to go to sleep. When I woke up, I tried playing wow, then noticed it was banned. I know you guy are strict on account banning, but is there anything I can do to get my account back?
Thank you in advance,
Dentka

Your ban will persist, and if you think twice you will also know why.

Let's for a minute assume your story is correct, and a GM actually unbans you.
How do you think ban appeals will look from now on?

Every single ban appeal will now state their boyfriend uploaded a cheat program on your computer. No one will ever use the "My brother ..." excuse anymore. No brothers will be born anymore, all couples will be divorced, and in the rare situation a couple stay together they will give birth to only one child, so there's no chance of having a brother.

So you can easily see why GM's cannot unban you. We need dem brothers.

Regards from a worried brother.

Greetings,

Your account has been banned for Cheating.

However, we've placed this under review.

We'll get back to you in this thread after it is done.
Since this can take some time, please be patient.

Best regards,
GM Team.
