Hello, my account has been banned just today.

At no point have I ever botted, bought gold, multiboxed or done any of the things that people get banned for.
I wonder why the punishment was then given?

Ehmm... I'm sorry but this is just plain wrong. Not only have I never done any gold trafficking, but I don't see how I could have possibly even be suspected of it.

My money income has never had any big surges since I rely exclusively in my own capacity to farm, and the biggest auctions I usually place do not yield more than 20-25g.

Do you have any reference to a specific transaction to prove this accusation?

Is this because I send blue BoEs, traveler's backpacks, along with some gold to guildies?
If so, this is absurd. I am a guild master, I take it upon myself to help out people in my team, without being greedy and charging them a fee for items that I know would help them. You are welcome to check the people to whom I've mailed blue BoEs or traveler's backpacks. They are all guildies, people that haven't paid me in any way other than by being friendly and playing the game with me. Last week one of them had trouble paying for his level 30 spells, I gifted him 5g to alleviate the situation.

Is any of this bannable?
If so, I'm sorry but there is no provision in the Terms of Use against gifting items to people in your guild, so I'll have to ask you to rewrite them and include this for people in the future. Retroactive punishment for behaviours that weren't categorized beforehand is not how a rule/legal system should work.

If it's not bannable, I would like to ask you to have a talk with the person who issued the unwarranted ban on my account. Not only was I not warned beforehand, but I receive a permanent ban for no valid reason at all. The degree of incompetence does not help the Nostalrius staff is this is the case.

Fun stuff: My only bank account is frozen since I no longer have need for it, living in the countryside with my family for the last 2 years and only needing some cash.

My credit card was cancelled last november since I didnt' really use it either and didn't want to pay the monthly fee for no reason. So I literally CAN'T trade gold for money even if I wanted to.

Seriously this is quite the absurdity. It's as if you accused someone who doesn't drive of running someone in the street.

While the investigation goes on, just do the following:

Login with my character ( you have username and password anyway) and check personally my bank. You'll find a significant amount of materials and reagents that are simply stored for crafting and helping people, probably going for over 300g in AH value and not being auctioned for gold (which would be what a gold seller would do, in order to have a larger pool of it to subsequently trade for actual money). Or check my characters and the sheer amount of money it was spent in them, gold farming trademark to bind expensive gear to your character?

Please unban my account. The sooner the better.

120 accounts were banned in a massive ban wave for gold trafficking last night.
There are going to be a lot of appeals incoming and a lot of investigation time required.
