Not sure why I was banned

Newer player to the server and I used to play on SZ during Vanilla. I thought it would be fun to roll a character here with my friend. I was around level 21ish on my main character and was trying to level up. I had tradeskills and even first aid, clearly not a gold farmer. I did have a friend give me some gold, and another person who randomly quit gave me some gold. Is this why I was banned? Id like to play again without starting over so let me know. Character name is Shakedownst Night elf rogue. PVP server
