Hi,

My sub accont on nostalrius just got banned. I have two accounts, one for AH, and one main account for questing. For a while today i have been online on both. Is this a bannable offense? If that is so, im sorry for breaking the rules, but is it a possibility to get unbanned?

If not, could i atleast gather the gold i have on the banned account and send it to my main? It would be a harsh lesson learnd if i have to start from 0c again witch is the sum that is on my main. I have been transfering all my gold from main to sub account for "safekeeping" and spending on items i light make a profit on. Therefore the goldtransfer from one account to another.

I honestly didnt consider taus to be multiboxing, given the fact the sub account was only hanging around at the ah.

If you had bothered reading the ToU you would know it is indeed bannable having two characters online, except if you are doing e.g. enchants and both are in a major city.

If you want any answer from the GM's, you should post a character + realm name.

While i knew multiboxing isnt allowed i thought that was only if you used them to grind/quest/PvP.

The account associated with the character "philtrich" on the PVP realm was banned by the anti gold-seller spam system. This is likely a false positive.

We will place this ban under review.

Note that multiboxing is not allowed except under very specific circumstances (which you actually describe violating. It is you first offence, so we will apply a Final Warning to both accounts. This means that other GMs will be able to see that you have been warned for multiboxing and know the rules - so it makes it especially important for you to follow the ToU in the future and future sanctions will take this into account. Duly noted! I have a couple of questions tho.

A) Will my toon be banned again if i keep sending him gold from main?
B)The toon (philtrich) is LvL 1 standing in UC. I was banned the second i tried to write in chat. Will this mean that if i try to announce i have an item for sale on the toon, i risk getting banned again?
C) When i reach 60 and send gold back to main, will i them risk getting banned as well? (Since it might look like gold buying)

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, i'll just make a new lvl1 toon on main, and transfer all gold to him(Please don't ban me asap then

)

Bonus question; if i make a lvl 1 bank toon on main - do i risk getting banned on main AS well if banktoon is annoucing he has items for sale?

I probably could have phrased that better.

What caused the automatic ban was using the chat channels on a low level character - it's good practice to restrict your use of public chat channels until you reach about level 15. It wasn't any gold transfer that caused it. So the answer to B) is yes, you can get banned again; you should announce on characters of level 15 or more. You should restrict the level 1 to using the AH, and announce items for sale or trade on the higher level character.

You can always send gold to your own characters regardless of which account they are on. What causes people to get banned is sending or receiving gold that has been purchased or illegally obtained. As long as gold you send or receive is 'clean', there is no issue. So the answer to both A) and C) is there is little to no risk as long as you are playing according to the Terms of Use.

For the bonus round, accounts are banned, not characters. So yes, if you had a level 1 that tripped the ChatSpam ban, no character would be playable on the account until the ban was lifted. It's not a good idea to do that unless you are careful to not chat on that level 1 char. However note that for ChatSpam bans, we try to lift those bans ASAP, usually in less than 24 hours.
