Account banned

So my account was banned for cheating and the ban was justified. I was cheating at the time but I have a quick question. Is it ok if i make a new account to continue playing on nostalrius? I want to continue to playing on the server and try following the rules this time . Just wanted to know if my previous ban would follow on a new account and ban me even if i was playing legit....
