Banned

Greetings GMs,

It has come to my attention now that I was banned for "botting." However, I do not have a bot, nor wish to ever use a bot, so this is not the situation. I thoroughly enjoy playing this game myself, and one of the main reasons I came to this server is to get AWAY from all the bots in retail that have helped to ruin the game in its present state.

I would like to explain myself. I was playing via remote desktop at work, and used my second monitor to put the game barely on my screen enough to see the edge of my action bar. I am required to sit at my desk for my entire shift. I would click on my worg pet to summon him and keep me in the game.

I have been told by other friends that were online at the time of the incident, that I was pulled into GM island to discuss this matter. Keep in mind, I cannot see the better 98% of the left side of my screen (all I can see is the action bar) giving myself no indication that I was being messaged by a GM. At this point, I am still summoning my worg pet to stay in game, but to the GM it looks like I am not at my computer. I understand that this may be a "taboo" topic, because I was not playing my character to the fullest of my ability. However, I was certainly NOT botting, and wish to be reconsidered for a reinstatement of my account.

Again, my character name is: Prevailx on the pvp server.

I had just enough time to enter the AV and from there I would click on my worg pet to summon him and keep me in the game.

Basically you were leeching honor.

I don't think Nostalrius approves such behaviour either.

I do understand that now, but I had no indication that it was a bannable offense. A stern warning seems like a more appropriate action for this case. Losing somewhere around 500+ hours of time spent on that account does not seem like a justifiable punishment for what I did. That is A LOT of time spent. Either way, I will not be doing that anymore. Again, as a first offense, and after explanation, I do not see how can be the final result.

Your explination all but confirms u violated the ToS unfortunately as nost says ignorance of the ToS is not an Excuse and they will likely not reverse ur ban

As a BOT is considered every 3rd Party Programm who interact with the Gameclient.
RDP is a 3rd Party software, as it uses a protocol to interact with the target.

You did not click anything on your computer, you triggered a protocol which clicked on your desktop.
