Banned due to inactivity(or so I thought)

Character : Esonious
Server : PvP

It would appear my account was used for some rulebreaking. Got 2 questions.
Is there anyway I can prove I did not do this myself?
If not, is the ban PERMANENT and will follow over if I try to make a new account and start from scratch and of course abiding all rules.
I'd rather not waste time to get banned during the "leveling up" period if that's the case.

Account security is your responsibility, so whatever action was done on your account while hacked will be following normal rules. If that includes gold selling, then a permanent ban will be issued on that account.

GM's will not recover hacked accounts, so you should maybe review your account security:
- Do you share your account information with anyone? Friend, bother, wife ....
- Is your account name hard to guess? You didn't use your forum name or character name as account name...
- Is your password hard to guess? At least 10 characters long including numbers.

Also, external sources:
- Do you download stuff from suspicious sites?

Yes, you can start a new account.

But maybe you should foind out how your account was hacked; if it was your email then a new account won't last long - or even worse: your personal information can get stolen!

Esonious : There are no repercussions from this event, other than you will have to choose a different character name since the ones on the banned account will now be forever locked. Just be sure to check your security practices so that it doesn't happen to you again.
