Today I tried to log in to my account and couldn't get through the log in phase and resetted my password. I was able to login but it says that I am banned. I wasn't even playing for at least 2 months if I remember correctly. My character was not even level 20 I think. What was the reason for the ban?

The account associated with Gistus on the PVP server has never been banned. Probably you tried to log in too many times with an incorrect password or account name. Wait some time (30 mins to an hour), and try again with the right credentials.
If you can't remember your account name, look in your WoW installation directory under WTF\Accounts - it will be listed there.
If you can't remember your password, you can reset it at https://en.nostalrius.org/password. You will need your account name and the E-mail address that you used to register the account.
