Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Good morning,

I just started leveling after finding these servers and was banned in the middle of running through Stormwind, Drasuka on the PvP server.

I have no idea what would bring a ban on the account, I have a current WoW account, but not sure how that would come into play and the only thing I downloaded was the Nostalrius Addon pack from the website. I was reading about how bans come into play for no reason and was hoping for this not to be the case for a new player. The only other thing I could think of was using the chat to look for a guild, but it was spaced out to not appear spam like.

All I want to do is play my paladin like I did back in Vanilla. What was the ban reason?

It probably was the chat spam filter. It bans off level not the style of text. So probably best when/if you get unbanned not to use global until level 15.

Well that's pretty crappy. My bad for using the channels the way they were meant to be used. That puts a sour taste in my mouth if that's true.

Its a needed system to combat goldsellers and its actually working good.

Sometimes it bans new players as a mistake but they'll get unbanned anyways. Sure, it feels bad as a new player, but you'll appreciate the system after you see the actual amount of goldseller messages

It's to stop the gold spammers Although it doesn't work lol since they just use city trade chats instead xD

If this is because of being under level 15 is there any way to make that more known to future players? It's a shitty feeling when you are looking for a guild and running back to Goldshire and just get banned on the spot.

I understand it's in place for gold and spam in that regard, but dang, I just want to level my characters with a group of people to talk to and the punishment seems pretty heavy handed. Maybe a chat restriction or a temp ban for something on the first offense in this regard, not a full closure.
