came back to wow and my accounts banned?

my character skunky has been banned account name derekginise
i quit for close to 6 months came back and my whole account is banned, looked my name up on the forums and it appears someone was using my account to scam? please investigate.

You probably got hacked - and I can guess why: you don't take account security serious. For example: you posted your account name here, but had you read the sticky you would know you should never do that.

GM's does not recover hacked accounts, you are free to start a new, but this time think a little more about account security.

Your account was banned on January 16 for scamming. If it wasn't you, then you were either hacked or account sharing. Account security is your own responsibility, and this account will remain banned even if you were not the one on it.
