Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2016 8:03 pmHello, I play on the PVP server and my players are Arenthis 60 - alliance and Blazinitup 60 - Horde.
I logged out yesterday at 7:30pm central or so to leave the house and came back at 1:30am. I had paged a GM early this morning at about 2:15am Central after I logged in to find only my gold missing and told him that someone had gotten on to my account and mailed my gold away in the 5 hours I was logged out. We had talked and I told him that I changed the password to something very secure and ran a virus/malware scanner. I also intend on using the IP lock command when I get back online as I ONLY play from this IP. The GM who i believe was Akasso did not tell me anything about my account being CLOSED for good the next day? I thought we had resolved the problem right there but it seems to not be the case.
The gold I lost, which wasn't much (approx 600g) was not obtained illegally, I assume it was just mailed to someone. They did not change my password or sell any of my gear or items. The only thing I ever buy is raid potions and enchant materials. I've never bought anything that was over 50g and I've never had a lot of gold at once.
I raid tier 2 in two guilds reliably and would not jeopardize this by cheating in any way. There has to be a way to check my IP and prove that this is indeed the real owner of the account. I have never logged in on any other IP's ever so I'm sure if you can see IP's you can see that this person was not anywhere near me.
I reported the issue immediately to help further fight account hacking but instead I got rewarded with a closed account? We can't expect this to stop if people are afraid to report something in fear of getting banned simply for being a victim of a leak.
I play quite a lot (I was raiding ZG when i received the Ban) and I really really hope you can re-open my account. I have such a great time playing here and I don't want to see my reputation and my months of work get destroyed because of some low-life getting into my account.
I did make an account (same username, different password) for the TBC test realm a week or two ago when it was released (maybe that is the source, it is no longer on my computer) but I have never played any other private servers or used this account name and password anywhere else, this is the only site I use it on, there is no way I can get compromised again with my new password and account lock options. PLEASE let me play my characters again, I'll be losing two tier 2 geared characters that raid every week in 2 guilds while also helping in the AQ PTR testing. I BEG YOU PLEASE
I have been suspended for a few offensive jokes in world chat before (which I've stopped 100% since) but I have never been a cheater or a gold buyer/seller. I follow the rules as I enjoy earning what I have and I hope to continue playing with the gear I have spent many months acquiring. I would NOT risk letting down 2 guilds for selfish reasons.
