Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Yesterday my account was hacked and I lost everything in my bags and all my gold.

Right after I noticed, I changed my account password, and continued playing today. However, about 30 minutes ago I was disconnected and was told that my account was closed.

My character is called Hmphf and is on the PVP server.

Had you managed to change the password in time you could have kept playing it, but now it is permanantly banned for being compromised, sorry

What do you mean, in time? Before the attack?

Incorrect, I regained control of my account and staff banned me anyway a few days later. Considering no staff has made an official statement on the matter on any of the many posts with similar issues it is safe to assume that your account is banned indefinitely.

Same, changed my password to something unique shortly after discovering all my equipment/gold gone. 3 days later and I'm permabanned.

From what I have seen, if you account is compromised and that you post about it in the forums, they will just tell you to change password and will not ban you.

However they can still find out that you account was used for gold selling/advertising and ban you for that afterwards.

It's likely to assume that the gold from my account was transferred to another character used for gold selling.

But to me it doesn't make sense to ban the victim of a hack.

Just create a new account, it happened to me the same issue and Nostalrius doesn't give a fck about it just ignored like my posts and locked them, maybe they will reconsider make a change about it or not soon like they did when you couldn't reset your password on a period of 24 hours and then they changed to 10 days, Nostalrius is still on age stone so give them time to raise.

I can inform/remind you how it was in retail, where blizzard never banned anyone to keep all subscriptions at any cost.

Servers were infested with farming/scamming bots, and even if you report them 3 times per week, next day they all were back.Almost all of them belonged to gold sellers or to people that are too retarded to keep their own account secure for a day.

Thanks, although it's kinda of hard wanting to create a new account for Nostalrius if this is how they treat their users

I don't remember it being that bad, but that's true. Although I'd rather have gold sellers/spammers and keep my account, rather this having gold sellers/spammer (they are still there in plenty of numbers) and not keep my account
