Account Banned

My account [Character Haines on PvP server] was banned shortly after logging in after being idle for some time to find that all of my gold had been traded away (not the issue) and after reading the forums I understand that some other server databases had been breached which explains how my account got hacked. Not asking for any character/item restorations, just wondering if there is any chance to appeal this ban? I'm assuming the account got banned as a result of being linked to the hacker/gold trader.

This account was banned as a result of the recent gold seller hack wave.
The ban has been placed under compromised account review. The review may take some time to complete. We will get back to you with a determination or more instructions in this thread.

My account was also banned for the same reason, I would assume. Can you confirm this?
