Unsure of account status, was I hacked or banned?

I check in on mail and friends like once a month, occasionally doing a dungeon or BG but this time I kept getting the error message "Disconnected from server". I didn't do any real world trading or have any involvement with the issues around the gold farmers, so I am guessing my info was in the leak from another server and my account was used wrongfully.
I made another account to test my connection and that worked just fine so i tried to give wrong info to replicate the message and it gave different error messages for logging in with a wrong password or username
