account banned
Posted: Sat Mar 19, 2016 5:35 pmFriday around 21:00 I was raiding BWL with my guild, and suddenly my connection dropped. After trying to log in, i got the message that my account was banned. I verified this on nostalrius.org: it said my account has been permanently banned, without further explaining why. I later noticed this was at the exact same time the twitter messages about the gold account banning went out, and my account might have wound up in this ban.
However, i would like to appeal this ban. As far as i know I have not been involved in any exploits or gold buying/trading. I mainly play on my 60 gnome rogue, and made most of my gold trough selling and buying on the auction house. professions are leatherworking and skinning, and i dont think there are any exploits there, and i have not noticed anything unusual while leveling up that might have been an exploit.
I also never received gold from other players, other than in a couple of trades. The only trades I have done in the last two weeks, as far as i can remember are:
- received some gold for opening lockboxes
- I bought some potions for a hunter that was in my group for a blackrock depths emperor run. I received 8g for the potions.
Might it have been that some of that gold was linked to the goldsellers? In any case the amount of gold gained that way should not have exceeded 20 gold.
Other than those two examples I cannot remember receiving gold other than trough the auction house. I am also 100% sure i have not send or received gold from other accounts trough the mailing system or trading.
I highly suspect i was wrongfully banned, but to be certain i would need to know i was banned for. Could I please be informed what offence my account was banned for?
