Ban Appeal

Ban Appeal

by metrolol » Sun Mar 20, 2016 5:47 am

Hello, I am here to appeal the ban my character received within the last day or so.
The character in reference is a 60 Tauren Druid that was logged out in Feralas named Noobisttv.

Last Monday the account was compromised due to what Nostalrius is calling a breach from another project. (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38394)
300~ gold was taken from the account, and as soon as I found out it, the account was reclaimed and measures were taken to ensure its safety.

Then, multiple days after myself recovering and securing it without any disruption, and multiple hours of playing on it, the account was closed without warning or discussion.

I am assuming it was banned because it seemed to be still compromised and participating in gold trafficking, which was not the case.
I am happy to stay without the 300 gold, and recognize this is the price to pay for not keeping a closer eye on the account's security, but as it does seem to be dozens (if not hundreds) were also compromised along this widespread attack, I am seeking to have the account restored so I can continue enjoying Nostalrius Begins armed with the much needed security options that are being rolled out.

I am happy to discuss the process more with any associated personel and look forward to getting this resolved along any time frame, long or short. I understand there are a lot of accounts to deal with!

Greetings,

This account was banned as a result of the recent gold seller hack wave.

The ban has been placed under compromised account review. The review may take some time to complete. We will get back to you with a determination or more instructions in this thread.

Regards, GM Team.
