Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello, I've been away for like two days and when I got back I was unable to log in. On the website it says that my account has been permanently banned. Nothing else.

Realm: Nostalrius PvP
Character: Fnark

I've read abit on here seeing bans don't get removed, as it's my fault for not having my account secure enough, is this right? Would be a shame to lose my account after spending so much time leveling my character.

I've been playing retail WoW since I was a kid and as far as I know there's three ways goldsellers operate. They mail gold, they trade gold and they buy your auctions.
I have never been mailed or traded gold (well one random guy gave me one gold, but surely it can't be that)

So I have to believe it's from some auctions.
Recently I got abit lucky, getting some twink items, they weren't Best-In-Slot, but they were very good. I haven't played Nostalrius for a long time, so I had no idea what anything was worth, so I just put it up for like 60 gold or something, it suprised me how quickly it sold, so I just figured out I was stupid and put it up for way to little and someone bought it to resell for a profit.

With the buyer being a goldseller trying to make some quick gold. That's the only reason I can think of.
