Banned for no reason

I logged into my character for the first time in a while and I was killing mobs around Stranglethorn Vale a few days ago and then I logged out because I was done playing.
I try and log in today to being greeted with the message that my account was closed.
I'm curious as to why.

Your account was banned for gold trafficking. If you'd like to appeal this ban, please provide information in this thread about what transactions you may have done recently that might have triggered the ban.

If you did in fact buy gold, it saves us all time if you mention that instead.

I didn't receive any amount of in-game currency recently. It was the first time I got on in a couple months, I killed a couple pirates outside of Booty Bay, then logged out. I was on for maybe 30 minutes. I then tried to log in the next day and I was banned. This is absurd.
