Banned after BG AFK

Hi,

i was playing Warsong, when a business call reached me and I could no longer pay attention to the game. So I AFK deserted to a some weird place without textures (see screenshot https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7YR2O ... sp=sharing).

After a subsequent disconnect, I can no longer log in, seeing the message that my account was banned.

Is that true? I don't see a ban reason, when I log into the website.

Hi,

is there a chance to review the ban? Yes I made a mistake by being only half aware in the BG. It was wrong to leave my char in a corner of the BG unattended and I am sorry for that. I did not use an anti afk bot.

Although my char was only 29, i would hate to start from scratch, because I really grew fond of my characters. Please review the ban and my actions leading to it again. I will only go into BGs if I am able to be fully aware of my char and don't have to share attention with other tasks. But botting is nothing I will do or did at all.

Dear GMs, how was this issue resolved or what is your opinion on this?
I'm interested because I too have to AFK sometimes due to 2 small children. I thought the deserter debuff is meant for this kind of situations. Although I understand that AFK'ing in battlegrounds is not fun for my team I still think that real life should come first and this thread really concerns me.

I really would like a GM to take position on this. Thank you.

Being AFK in a BG does not get you banned - if you do this frequently you will get a warning.

However, setting up a bot that prevents the character from going AFK is unattended play and is met with a permanent ban.

Thanks for your reply. I fully support this policy.

I am just really sad, that in my case it led to being banned without me using any sort of botting software.
I'd like to appeal to the ban once again. Please look into it.
