Question about giving out gold ?

there have been all the talk about ppl getting banned for buying gold, so i would like to know about the dangers of just giving out golds?

lets give a senario, a friend of mine finaly got to 40 and i would like to help him whit getting mount, and i have the gold he can borrow, so i give him the gold, is there then a danger of me or him getting banned for that ?

this might be a wired question, but i am honestly confused

and feedback will be appreiciated

There is no danger there, as long as the gold is not sourced from gold sellers. It is not trading gold that is the problem, it is buying gold that is the problem. We have very good detection mechanisms to determine the source of gold used in transactions.
