Account not un-banned after 5 days

Last friday my account was approved for unbanning. I changed my password, but my account has not been unbanned yet. I was under the impression that the unban would have been effective immediatly after approval by the mods. Is it normal that a week or two go by after the mods have lifted the ban?

Thank you for responding. I already reset my password after I got the initial response of the mods on unbanning my account. However, I have reset the password again after reading your message, just in case. I hope that is enough to unban my account, so I can finally resume playing
