Banned for cause "using an anti-afk software"... Wrong :)

Hello,

This night, i was teleported in a white prison cell...
My main character, the rogue Silentlady, was banned for cause "using an anti-afk software" for BG in Alterac.
I'm not using such software, while Alterac i'm watching videos with the keyboard on my knees, old school style.
Please check the settings of your anti-cheat software.

Maybe that's not pretty manners, but that's not my bad if Alterac with Horde turn in nighmare turtle defense, useless, so boring, and 4 hours long.

That you saw me just jumping in a point of the map, that's true. I alternate playing, herbing and AFK jump while the 4h bulk of Alteracs.
But i'm pushing on space key myself. I was Alterac Exalted with this (contemptible) method with a rogue and a spriest on the PvP server, and same thing on Blizzard official servers some years ago.

Check the server logs or whatever, and you'll see that I am an AFK artisant, not a pirate.
In plus if I was a pirate, so why would I have cheated with this account and risk a ban while I also have characters 60 on the PvP server on it?
I would have been the dumbest pirate to do cheat with one of my two main account!
No, that's just illogical. Offenders never shit on their own doorstep.

AFKing in Alterac, without botting softwares, isn't forbidden in the terms of use, even if I agree that's sad to arrive to such extremities, but this situation is regarding that's horde 99% of the time never rush in this BG.
If one day that become forbidden in the terms of use, so i'll stop. But for now, why should I not do this, without AFK cheat softwares??

So please make the usual checks, or i don't know what, to remove doubt on the accusation of AFK botting.
Best jokes are the shorter, that's my main character on the PvE server, and I can't play yeeeeet 8..(

AFKing in Alterac, without botting softwares, isn't forbidden in the terms of use,...

Nostalrius Begins recognizes all valid play styles to be part of the game, and not harassment, so player-killing the enemies of your race and/or faction, including camping the spirit healer, corpses and/or gravestones, is considered a part of the game. While playing on a Player vs. Player server, you should always remember to protect yourself in zones where the members of a hostile faction can attack you. The act of "stream sniping" is not a violation of this agreement as we cannot intervene if someone in-game makes the decision to communicate their every move, thereby informing other users of their position and/or in-game status. Nonetheless, certain behaviour goes beyond what is considered fair and are considered a violation of this agreement. This behaviour includes, but are not limited to, the following:

Using or exploiting errors in design, features, and/or bugs to gain access that is otherwise not available, to facilitate and/or grant you an advantage over other players.
Engaging in combat whilst standing on a section of the world that neutralizes the ability of town guards to detect and/or engage you.
Engaging players through various world terrain, such as roofs that is otherwise not possible, to facilitate and/or grant you an advantage.
Intentionally not participating or otherwise being AFK within a battleground.

You could say, you should have get a warning for AFKing in BGs, but there is the problem with the bot.
As long as the GMs say there was a bot involved, you'll stay with the permanent ban.

The logs do indeed say that the behavior look like a bot. Otherwise they would not ban you.
They are certain automations running, regarding bans, but for what i've read, AFKing in BGs is not one of them.

Just to clarify, since this issue has been discussed on many occasions in these forums, a "bot" doesn't just have to be some software on your computer. "Hardware" counts too, like taping a key down or even just pressing the jump key at regular intervals to avoid going AFK. So whether or not you agree with that definition, that's the one the GMs and devs use.

Also, you are still admittedly AFK'ing in BGs and are therefore a colossal douchebag. Just play the game.

Beyond what anyone can think about AFK'ing manually in BG, does it deserve to be banned permanently?
Without any in game wisp?
And where is the blizzlike in dat story??

A level 60 that's many hours to play, as you well know.
