Account banned today 5 minutes before close

So I got contacted by a GM and all he said was "Don't spam", then booted me from the server. I logged back in and then got insta dced again then the screen popped up saying I was banned. The "spam" I was doing was to a person over whispers because hundreds of people outside Ironforge were spamming and I couldn't get a whisper across. I know the servers shutting down but it wasn't fair and I wanna know why if possible, will this also affect my character being transferred over to a different server with the source code .

It won't affect your character. You probably just got a temp ban. Anyways , server is RIP now, so whatever

Ah yeah I know sorry, but is it possible to figure out if my ban was permanent? It still doesn't make sense to me to this day. thank you or are you saying it technically would be before I was banned

If you were banned 5 minutes actual server closure, then it does not matter because the database we transfer will be from a week before you were banned.
