Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Just became level 5 and decided to buy my first profession. I decided to get skinning as it is beneficial to my class as a Rogue. I went to the trainer in SW and when I clicked on the trainer to select my Apprentice level in skinning it was not there. Completely missing from the selection. I think my character is bugged because I invited someone to see if it shows up for them and they are able to learn it. Can someone please tell me what to do here.
