Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Greetings Nostalrius,

Onslaught rose from the ashes of Project Mayhem. With most of Project Mayhem’s early officer staff and previous guild master having quit the game as well as having 5-10 new core raiders, the decision was taken to make a new guild to create a name for ourselves and not rely on past legacies. We consist of people from all over the world with most of us having extensive vanilla experience as well as raiding throughout the expansions. We treasure not only high-quality raiding but also activities outside raids such as doing dungeons together, pvp, g-chat/teamspeak banter, guild site activity etc.

Having cleared MC in just about 2 hours as well as double onyxia our first raiding week, we now aim towards solidifying our raiding team and gather consumables for dedicated BWL progression. We raid wednesday, sunday and mondays 18.45 to 23.00 server time. If these raiding times suits you, and if you feel that you would like to be part of high-quality raiding where you always bring your best game, then we encourage you to apply on our guild site.

We are also looking for partner guilds to do world bosses with when they spawn. As was mentioned above, we strive towards having an active guild also outside raid days and thus we should be able to provide a solid team for these encounters if paired with another guild of similar mindset as ours. Every solid player who shares our views and goals on being in a raiding guild should take the opportunity to apply. While we do value attitude and performance above all else, having (pretty much) full pre-raid BIS is a courtesy we expect.

There are indeed some people that I cant find in the guild anymore for the better

If you're thinking about joining this guild take a few minutes to read my post before jumping into it.

I was in this guild (very) briefly with my druid, Camooflage. While in this guild I had the pleasure of meeting 1 or 2 cool people, and a lot of douche bags. Immediately upon joining this guild I lead a ubrs where a warrior joined from the guild who lied about being prot spec even though we had dps spots open and I told him we simply couldn't take him, another member of the guild proceeded to flame me and call me names as well as report me to officers in the guild who forced me to unignore these 2 players. I am an adult and don't mind letting things go at all so I did without a second guess. These same 2 players then proceeded to harass me over whispers and in raids, I unfortunately, didn't screen shot any of these.

I had to complete my onyxia attunement to be eligible to run with the guild almost immediately after joining. I asked in guild chat for people for ubrs for over 2 hours while putting htis group together. After having almost a full group one of the officers tells me he wants to come on his rogue alt. This officer was Madampewpew. I told him we were full on rogues but he said it was "very" important that he comes and implied I may be punished if he didn't get in. So we had 3 rogues and a fury warrior. This rogue was afk through most of the trash after asking me if it could just be a rend run because he didn't want to stay for more, I told him no, I'm assuming this is why he was afking on the trash. After we killed rend he implied that he was simply "too tired" to finish the run, I lost my shit. I took 2 hours putting this group together and made a special exception to bring him and he treated me this way, a member of a guild he's supposed to be a leader in.

Shortly after this I spoke with another officer in the guild and told him exactly what happened and he told me it would be taken care of, that officers weren't supposed to treat people this way.

Shortly after the next day's onyxia raid I was, essentially, forced to gquit by the exact same officer after I cracked a joke in guild chat.

The officer said that I was in the wrong for making a joke in guild chat eventhough I explained it as a joke and it was pretty obvious he simply didn't want me in the guild because I was calling out other people for treating their members like shit.


All in all I'd say this is a guild you'll want to avoid unless you're cool with sacrificing your dignity for items that have been out for over 10 years. This game is meant to be fun not a place where others can treat you in a condescending manner for their own personal gain. Thanks for reading.

Hello, officer from Onslaught here.

I'm sad to see that the first page has been polluted already by a person of very dubious nature. Apart from this reply I won't bother arguing about this because I see no point in doing it. People can read Camoo's post and they can read mine and they will hopefully conclude that the error is on his part.

As is plain from the screenshots that Camoo himself provided, we had had some issues with him before this UBRS run happened. That being said, leaving a group without good reasons is not acceptable within our guild, and what happened here was taken care of appropriately. As for the other allegations regarding this UBRS run, well, frankly, they are not true. I won't bother going into details here since all you provide is loose accusations without any evidence.

Moving on, you mention that me and you had a talk where I supposedly forced you to quit because of a joke. Well, first of all I did not force you to quit. I never had the intention of making you quit, in fact I wanted to reason with you about what had happened. Anyone who knows me just a little bit is well aware of that I'm a person who goes great lengths at solving disputes by reasoning with people rather than just taking immediate action.

Secondly, and as is evident from the picture you provided, your 'joke' was more provocative than funny, and from what people told me (I wasn't online during this time), you pretty much invited the following argument between you and Axd. I think anyone who reads what you said will realise this, but is made even more true by the fact that you, after being in the guild for barely a week, already had a notorious reputation (which is also made plain by Axd's rather defensive reaction).

Also, for anyone who remembers, Camoo once spewed out some pretty nasty racism in world chat, basically calling all europeans retarded and what not. Well, this happened just when he had left the guild. Regrettably I didn't screenshot this, but I did screenshot camoo leaving our guild and his last comments. While it certainly isn't much of a proof, you do get the idea of what kind of person he is.

Once again, its up to each person to decide who is right and who is wrong here. i'm fairly certain though that if you ask anyone in our guild who remembers Camoo (his stay was very brief) they will have few positive things to say about him.

As for you Camoo, if you are still bitter about this, maybe the t2 head you got your first raid is somewhat of a consolidation. Your terrible manners notwithstanding, you're obviously an intelligent person and I'm sure you will have a spot in any raiding guild as long as you improve your attitude towards your fellow players.

Few points here from my own stay at the guild and your accusations:

First, I have no idea what happened with your UBRS run, I wasn't online at that time nor do I really care about it. But I remember that since joining you didn't come of as an pleasant person and made some "interesting" and arrogant comments in guild chat from day one.

Second, of all the cool people in guild that you can meet, Bock is one of the most relaxed and friendlies people you could find there and saying that he forced you to do something, more than that to quit the guild, sorry, I just can't believe that statement.
(Oh and that part where you say you made a joke and someone got mad or something, well for me it looked more like passive-aggresive stuff rather than a simple joke. And don't worry, people can get jokes when they are jokes and not some sort of trashing.)

And lastly, you say that you're an adult, but yet you go to guilds thread page and start throwing dirt on the guild, purely from hate and because you're bitter over something, while your beloved "evidence" is against you anyway at this point, showing how you really are ingame. So I don't know if any real adult would do that, maybe you're not one yet.
