New player LF info

by Enitzu » Tue Jan 12, 2016 4:22 pm

Looking to start on the PvE server and just wondering what classes are needed. More looking for NA raiding info as that is really the only reason I play.

What classes are needed? I know Horde is less popular here (which is shocking) so is alli a better bet or is Horde still solid?

60/40 alliance

Horde has a better time 30-50, but Ally gets to keep their hearth set at Stormwind/Ironforge instead of middle of nowhere Kargath during raiding.

Classes Needed are

Warriors that want to tank
Healing Priests
Healing Paladins

Classes not Needed are

non Tanking Warriors
non Healing Paladins

Would that be from a raiding PoV or a 5 man PoV? With the amount of tanks needed for raids I would think they would be one of the least desired.

Tanks will always be a hot commodity for 5-mans. However, there is little chance of you getting a core raid spot in a top end guild at this point going prot. Unless it's an up and coming guild that is. These positions have already been filled, and most guilds have already been gearing their tanks in raid guild. Warlocks are always going to be useful, as well as mages.

However in the end, you should play the class you enjoy/want to play. There's always going to be benefits of each class in a raid, and if you are a good player you'll get noticed. The server is pretty small, it's not too hard to pick out good players from the bad.

Yea I know that much. Thing is that I have played and enjoy most classes. But finding spots as a warrior, rogue, or hunter are generally a very hard thing to do. Even if you are a good one. Starting late doesn't help that at all. Mage is a possibility even though they are incredibly boring to lvl in vanilla.

Appreciate the info all.
