Protection paladins... where do I start. This fascination of protection paladins came about from BC onward and has been assumed they can do the same in Vanilla. In Vanilla, they DO NOT HAVE TAUNT. Simply put, if they lose threat, you're screwed. They do not have any cooldowns other than Lay on Hands, which is an hour cooldown and makes them lose all there mana (which is how they generate threat). On Nostalrius, mobs that are CC'ed with sheeps and what not still have a threat generation table. Healers will always be on top of the threat meters for bosses such as Majordomo. With the lack of taunt, protection paladins are absolutely worthless other than tanking the first mob that gets killed, since Majordomo drops threat as well. When it comes down to it, can protection paladins tank? Yes. Can feral druids and warriors tank better? Absolutely.

only because Paladin Tanks oom too much and loose aggro they can't tank , why ? because they oom ..

see how they oom and loose aggro.
(poke your eye directly toward mana and watch careful)
(watch damage meter and ktm "aggro meter" careful)

abilities used - max ranks -

Majordomo - drop Threat - judgement of righteousness = automatic taunt.

Healers and cc = bug reported = confirmed by evidence giving how it suppose to work = waiting for fix

Yes Paladins are Great tanks if you follow the raid mechanics (which wowwiki) explains and they can tank easy every possible raid boss in game, we don't need taunt if you properly gear and set talent trees.

- on side note -

problem is that with current bugs on server we can't preform best as we suppose to (example is crowd control bug which is bug) , the reason you will have some hard time , but that's why bugtracker exist and when they get fixed , you can enjoy tanking as paladin.

There were some top guilds which did it in order to be the first to get the kills and things like that, and in those cases yes, all of this min/maxing was required. But that does not mean that: "if you are a warrior you are a tank", "if you are a shaman/druid you can only heal", "only one shadow priest", and so on.

For me, raiding is just a lot of fun, and I would not find it enjoyable if I had to play a spec that I simply don't like just for the sake of that obsession with min/maxing. In my mind there was only one priority when I was raiding: people. If people had fun that was enough and, you know what? The bosses fell down anyways without all that min/maxing nonsense. Being the first guild to get the kills can be an exciting challenge, yes, but getting the kills with whatever you have at hand is another challenge in itself and, in my view, much more fun than the former.

I think this is true now. All the heavy lifting was already done a while back. Players are better now. Compared to retail, raids are cake. Mechanics? What mechanics? I don't see why people can't play the spec they want.

But people play here for different reasons. Some play to simulate that raiding atmosphere that they didn't get to experience fully. Personally, I played to get that social aspect back. But it's all good.

I do miss the Social I had when I first started. But I didn't get to raid until mop, so I wan to see how it was back then

sorry , but druids are behind miles away from Paladin #period.

Reason : Every single raid boss that exist can and is able to be Tank by Paladin.

Druid = Maexxna = impossible to tank , Neffarian = impossible to tank .

Both of those Bosses can be done as Paladin where Neffarian will be done twice easier .
