Playing on the PVE realm as Ally, it feels VERY blizzlike (maybe medium-high pop). I played a few weeks on the pvp server and it was wayy too overcrowded and not blizzlike.

Just curious, but how exactly was the PvP server "not Blizzlike" to you? I played there myself for a few months, and it sure seemed like it to me.

The only difference between the PvP server and the PvE server is population. Otherwise it is the exact same server, sans raid progression.

With that being said, I can see how some would not see it as blizz-like as retail servers are capped at 2500. With three times more players that means there are three times more questers and gankers. Questing kind of evens out the higher you go, but the fact people cried out for a PvE server to get away from the merciless world PvP speaks volumes. Once you hit STV and tried to quest to get through that range, it was obvious that no retail server was ever that bad. Even going to Desolace or South shore proved too difficult to quest efficiently. I personally rode gnomer and SM runs just to brave the storm. Some people aren't fortunate enough to play often and long enough each session to rely on instancing.

I admit the high population was an incentive at first, but I can now see how some would see it as a bit too over the top. Thanks for the Blizz-like cap on the PvE server! :))

I only went back to alliance because worldchat on horde side is absolutely terrible and if you want to group you'll have to keep it on. Meh.

Less racism, less sex(ism), less kiddies going mental would definitely help. Within 2 minutes of being online on horde side I apologized towards gay people, anything not-white and women even though I didn't even contribute to hell-chat.

I love horde, but I can't deal with the sheer lack of 'humanity'.

Kinda funny, people were claiming in alliance chat how much better horde is :P

Well, addons like IgnoreMore help deal with the world chat problem successfully. Also there is SpamThrottle addon with its permanent ban list.
Now my world chat is nice and clean :D

Oh yes, could be the timing, or I'm not the only one with both horde and alliance characters. Or maybe it was just at the start and those people have left/are banned now. I honestly hope it's clear now so I can enjoy both sides.

SpamThrottle? Will get it. Was looking for the vanilla version of bigbrother or badboy. Ty.

I played all the way to 60 on Horde, left that faction 2 days ago and already I've met more nice people on Alliance than I ever did on Horde. On Horde very few people were ever actually nice, at least that I could see. :(

Sorry to hear you've had that experience. I assure you that there are a large number of friendly people, but the level 60 player base isn't that large in respect to the rest of the population of the server. Hopefully you have a better experience in the coming weeks once more people start hitting 60, if you choose to play on Horde again. Either way, hopefully you find a fun group of people to play with :).
