Yes because PvP is awesome. I find PvP on the PvE a lot more fare and fun. Only carebares and cowards don't flag.

Here you have it boys. This right here is the modern man's test of manhood. I mean who cares about, I dunno, enlisting in the army or fighting lions or being able to lift a 120kg stone to be considered a man. Nope, in order to prove you're not a coward and a carebear in 2015, you need to play a video game on a PvP server.

Oh no wait, my bad, you need to play a video game on a PvE server, but flag yourself for PvP, because the PvP on PvP servers is unfair.

Who the hell said anything about test of manhood and being a man? A lot of people are actually afraid of playing versus another player. They can't handle it and being a man and not a coward is proven by a lot of things. A soldier killing lions with 120kg rocks, but being afraid of pixels is still a coward. And if you could face players that are at max 10 levels above you on the PvP server then it would be so much more fun. Alas it is too overcrowded and people take it too personally when you get killed.

Well, if you're calling people who are 'afraid of pixels' cowards, then wouldn't playing on a PvP server be something to overcome for them? What would they call somebody who doesn't pass a 'test of manhood' and isn't considered a man? Yeah, probably a coward. Please understand I'm not calling playing on a PvP server a test of manhood, but you're calling people cowards if they want to play unflagged.

But you are really missing the point why people play on PvE servers, so please read Shimmerleaf's post again. And then read it again if you still don't get it. It might take a while, but just keep reading it. You'll find that it has nothing to do with being a coward, or the opposite of that.

Funny thing, I've always played more pvp than pve in wow, but I've also always preferred pve servers simply because most of the pvp in pvp servers is just ganking, which is something I don't do. Interesting that you'd think I'm a coward just because of the way i choose to play this game.

Anyway, I've made my point, don't want to ruin this lovely thread for other people.

I flagged in STV yesterday as I thought something was missing. Got engaged by a shammy 3 lvls higher than me but wasn't really ready for it, was a fair fight though (no mobs on me, almost full health). When both were low health he just healed while I died to his shocks .

Then later an undead mage 2 lvls lower than me engaged me, but this time I was ready and killed him relatively easy. I think I'll be flagging some more in the future just for fun. But no permaflagging, I prefer to decide when to do pvp.

Nah. I joined a pve server so I didn't have to worry about getting jumped. I have to afk a lot to avoid gf aggro, make dinner, take a shit, etc... I like not worrying about whether or not im gonna die in the few minutes im gone. Graveyard runs are a bitch.

This is the reason I switched over as well. Once you get into contested zones you can't afk and have to be looking over your shoulder non stop. I like to sometimes get up and walk away from the computer to rip a bowl or make food and don't want to have to run back from the graveyard every time.

Flagging for PvP on a PvE server is prone to fair fights but do not bluewall. Always turn your pvp flag on before to attack and make it so that the opponent see that even if it's to go into stealth mode right after.
