+1 Ultima Online (Kelevar server)

Loosing my first full silver armour when heading to capital GY to get some practice on skellies and zombs and a lovely PK showed up with flamebolts from Necro book sure felt like loosing somebody dear.

Comparing to a PVP server, I would rather play PVE to relax, get some buddies together and slam Neffarion's face with a fishpole. Even though I've a mage with mounts on PVP server already.

WoW world PVP is softcore baby crap

World PVP in WoW is an utter softcore cuddlefest joke. It's not worth anything, so why bother with it at all? Ganking people is fun for about a day or so, after that the whole world PVP thing is just a pointless waste of time where nothing can be lost or gained.

As a hardcore (LOL!) carebear, I agree with you. That is the reason why I migrated from the PvP server into here. Every day, when I log in, I don't plan getting ganked, corpse-camped, tea-bagged, whatever. I want to spend some fun and quality time actually playing the game, not non-stop corpse running. Yes, I agree, the whole gankfest-shebang issue is just ..annoying. No real loss of any 'material' kind by getting ganked, other than utter pointless waste of time. Sadly, time is one of nowadays precious non-renewable resources. We should be able to put to good use (or waste) our own time on our own accord. For someone committed to waste our time is often unacceptable.
I understand that there are individuals who are enjoying harassing other less able or skilled people. It's their way to quench their personal frustrations and whatnot. But not on my expenses, no. So I take this chance to thank once more NOS devs to allow me to play the game the way I like it. For the others, they have their excellent PvP server and can get hung, drowned and quartered all day long.
