100% going to try as its most likely going to be the first private vanilla server pve realm.

I dunno. There is a competitor nearing release also. We'll soon see who launches first! :D

Being ganked by ?? over and over and then having to run back over and over gets old very fast now. You can't get anything completed. Ganking on this server is way more of a problem than anything I dealt with in Vanilla retail. PVE server for me now.

THIS. My play time is my relaxation time, of which I only get a limited amount.
Getting pointlessly ganked by a pubescent sociopath with no girlfriend and too much time on his hands - pass thanks.

The thing is that I like to PvP when I want... and that is not when I am questing. Battlegrounds and Arenas are enough to me. Moreover, I have played on different PvE servers, and some people seem to be more RP-oriented, which is something I enjoy to see even if I am not RP myself.

I didn't really like getting ganked either. But I only rolled on a PvP because PvE wasn't an option. I don't have the die-hard dedication that I used to have either. I want to relax like a few others have mentioned.

Secondly, I don't think there's any incentive for 60's to sit around and protect their zones. I never cried out to a 60 in the capitol saying that Darkshire was under attack as I felt like they probably got enough crying to them as it is. I can't really blame them.

While I haven't played on a Bliz server in a long time, my memory of it was that Nost was much more responsive in dealing with corpse campers than the typical Bliz server. So I do have to give them that.

Ultimately, I think I'm really just looking for a Coop experience, not a versus.

I'm not sure I will reroll, it's very likely though I guess... I feel like I showed up late, only being a level 41 lock and talking to people leveling alts because they have the end game ground into boredom is very demoralizing. On the other hand, despite the high level and squad ganks and occasional camper, I really enjoy the world PvP that the pvp server has to offer. As well as I've grown very attached to my minions, especially my Imp "Gobrin", I mean really what are the odds I get as great of a name as that again?

I guess you haven't read the thread then. Else you would see people mentioning that they have very limited time and they don't want to spend it with corpse runs and always having to watch you back to be aware of possible ganks. Instead, many want to relax after work for one or two hours and not having to worry about getting ganked all the time and making no progress what so ever.

I am interested in the PvE server for several reasons.

Firstly, I am curious about the "fresh start" they have mentioned. I have never experienced what the game was like at its launch, and that is something I would like to participate in. It would also give me a chance to level my characters in time to claim some of the pre 1.4 mounts, which I was really looking forward to when I first joined Nostalrius. Unfortunately, I arrived too late. Even if I had reached level 60 in time, it would have taken a lot longer even to save up enough gold. I'm hoping that with the release of the PvE server, I'll have an equal chance as everybody else.

Secondly, I would like to be able to enjoy the game at my own pace, without the stress of PvP involved. I will agree that it has its fun qualities, but only up to a certain point. It is especially frustrating when you are trying to level, and people go out of their way to ruin your experience, even if you are trying to show them that you don't want to fight. If I need to get something done, I will tolerate it, but it would be better if I didn't have to worry. For this reason, I am considering moving to the PvE server, because you have the ability to choose.

Thirdly, I would like to see a more mature community. Many people on the PvP server are very rude and uncooperative, and sometimes finding decent people is a challenge. It is my hope that a calmer atmosphere will encourage more kindness and teamwork, which I believe is how the game should be.

At this point I am very unsure. I really want to play the game, but I don't know how much longer it will be until they release the new PvE server. I know that if I continue playing on the PvP server, and decide later that I will switch to the PvE server, the progress I make with my characters will have been for nothing, especially if it means that I will have to recreate them. For now I am waiting, but I hope it will not be much longer.
Best of journeys in Azeroth, and may nature bless you.
