Yeah the plan was to kite into ORG so alliance wouldnt be able to follow then de-aggro him some how. The phasing took us all by surprise.

You most definitely could kite azuregos to org in retail, I recall it happening multiple times. I also find Azuregos on a pve server to be hilarious since you can't even fight off the opposing faction, so the only way forward is to just pull agro and reset over and over hoping your raid gets the tag at the last % or so

Or just accept that you lost the tag and hope the other team wipes (lol @ deja vu)

Also, I'm not saying it wasn't a legit strat in vanilla retail. I'm saying that Smork, the hunter that kited him through the phase line, knew that the phase line was there, and probably expected some buggy shit to happen, which sounds like exploiting to me.

No one knew, there was a lot of confusion when the phase line was passed (which we didn't know about to begin with) and what happened thereafter.

I have leveled ONE horde to lvl 33 and knew about this phaseline. It's just by orgrimmar. Funny how you guys try to deny exploiting now that you've been called out.

Leveling all the way to 60 I have never passed that point before, and even if you did how would you realize there's a phaseline there when there aren't even any mobs present around the area? You're just mad and looking for someone to blame. End of discussion on my part.

no it wasnt intended. but to be fair, from talking to the GMs all I got out of it was "if you kite him out of azshara he will despawn and we wont respawn him for you, so dont do it"

they didnt say anything about banning or punishing people for it. So sounds to me like you are SoL, Wipe your tears and be a big boy now and live with the loss.

Its our loss aswell tbh, we didnt get loot. It sucks for both sides
