You seem to be under the impression that because you're just trying to get a rise out of people or that "I never do this anywhere else" it somehow makes this behavior more acceptable or that it shouldn't affect your or DV's reputation. Unfortunately, that's not how it works, you don't get to decide how people perceive you or DV.
I'm not using it as an excuse. I'm explaining why I am that way, I'm not sitting here saying "Oh take pity on me, I'm incapable of caring about other people's feelings on the internet, I'm not really a mean person!" I'm explaining why I'm a cunt here, you can take it or leave it. Like I personally give a damn what people think of it. Furthermore the only people who have opinions I care about are smart enough to say "Okay, stop it now." and I will. I was told specifically to put the signature in and I complied within two minutes of reading the message. Hell even Xethra in one thread PM'd me in game and spoke to me personally and managed to convince me to delete my posts in the thread because it was becoming a flamewar. Fact of the matter, if I respect the person and they ask me to stop, I generally do.

But you're simply mistaken if you think the rest of us aren't going to judge the shit out of you and the guild that tolerates this kind of childish behavior. Mature, respectable guilds don't put up with this kind of behavior in game, on the forums, or anywhere else for that matter.
I'm not expecting you to accept my behaviour. Thing is it clearly hasn't been too much of a problem because in the two-three months I haven't been told "Hey, stop this shit or we're gkicking you." In fact a few guildies of mine apparently like my posts. That's always been my other thing, I can be the complete asshole so others don't need to be. In raids when I was a raid leader in Ulduar my guild master even said he preferred me lashing out at people because it allowed him to not have to worry about getting annoyed at stupidity. I think DV has something akin to that because if any leadership has gotten mad, it has not been Duo who is more of a very calm person.
Am I justifying my asshole attitude because of a past example? No and honestly it serves DV no purpose positive or negative. Though it's a lot easier for me being of no leadership to be a cunt on forums than our actual leadership. Though it's whatever, can't say anything without offending some delicate flower these days.
Also, "Mature, Respectable Guilds". . . right, and tell me, how many other guilds banded together on Kazzak for the SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF TRYING TO PREVENT US FROM HAVING THE KILL? I don't mean like "Oh they were competing" they were literally saying "DO NOT LET DEJA VU HAVE THE KILL" So mature right? Oh and these very same guilds that then came to these very forums screaming that we exploited Azuregos intentionally? Or that we broke the server rules on Kazzak and GMs said we were getting banned even though we had a screenshot from a GM saying level 1 bombing Kazzak is perfectly within the rules?
So mature and respectable bro.
itwasfree wrote:Regardless of what it says in your signature, you have publicly connected yourself to DV on these forums and you can't severe that with some grey text on the bottom. They may be your opinions (or not), but your guild tolerates it and thus they bear the consequences in the court of public opinion. That they don't seem to realize this, speaks volumes for the lack of perception and leadership at DV.
"Lack of perception and leadership" how exactly pray tell? The reason that signature is even here is because of THE LEADERSHIP. I'm not attempting to SEVER (or as you put it, "severe") any ties. I'm telling people that what I say does not reflect the opinions of Deja Vu in any facet. I personally hate a few members of other guilds and will tell them to their face. Does that mean Deja Vu hates them? No. THAT is what I'm trying to accomplish with my signature. The very fact you missed that point shows a lot about you as a person and I must say, I am not impressed with what it indicates.
Though given you also take things at face value, how about I make another forum account and claim to be a member of some random guild like Stitchnado and start flame wars? Oh man, he said he's in Stitchnado so it just MUST be true right?!
Our leadership is stronger than that of any guild on the server, however apparently it's lacking because ONE member said some mean things to people over a forum that has at most eight active users? It's a completely different story if I'm a douchebag in World Chat than the forums. Some day you'll come to the reality that the only people who use forums actively, are a minority in the grand scheme of things. Thing is, I don't care what forum users think of me and the only forum user to ever accurately find me in game is Xethra that wasn't in guild.
Though here you and I are. Arguing completely off topic of the thread that was started for the sole purpose of shaming DV because we griefed Kazzak attempts after it was done to us. So mature and respectable. So if Lotus Storm gets a kill on Kazzak, are we allowed to kick and scream about it in a forum post since that's apparently what mature and respectable guilds do?
Even the best part of it as evidenced by a forum post you made I believe in this thread: Before Kazzak you had zero fucking clue who our guild was. Don't act like you just now get to have an opinion since it's painfully clear about the only interaction you've had with our guild is me over the forums which further illustrates my point. You want to actually have a respectable opinion? Rattle off five guild members in DV who are legitimate assholes, forums excluded. Based solely on PLAYER EXPERIENCE IN GAME. Minor things like Infernals in STV don't count either. I mean legitimate elitism and douchebaggery displayed in dungeons.
As it stands to me, you only are acting this way because everyone else is and you want to fit in. I mean go ahead with that attitude all you want. When I was 14 I used to hate people I never met but only heard about. When I got older I began to interact with people that were hated and one of them is where this name even comes from. Peaked at Master Tier in League as a result from this interaction. The person I was supposed to see as this unbelievable dickhead was probably one of the nicer people I met and a true friend. Interacting with people is a better way to form an opinion than arguing with their phantom over the forums. Hell, guarantee if you interacted with me solely through WoW you'd have a positive opinion of me too.
