For me I'm neither interested in fighting others of any level nor being ganked by people more than 5 levels higher than me. The feeling of alertness you get in a contested zone can be interesting and fun, but for myself and others, it's not something we want to do on a full-time basis. We have BGs for that. I want to relax and read the quests. That stimulates the same good chemicals in my brain as the random pvp does for others.
