The staff have said that it's not a good idea to do that as it's stressful for the server to recreate your WDB folder every time. If thousands of people do that, it causes lag.

You can literally copy-paste your WoW folder and keep two of them, one for each server. You don't need to actually install the game a second time.

Did not know that. Thanks for the information.

No, you can keep two different WoW folders or swap the two WDB folders in and out. You don't have to delete it every time, that's just the lazy solution that they've asked us not to do. The server has to send you all the data every time, and if there's hundreds of players logging in every hour who all need a new WDB folder, that puts stress on the server. Just keep two separate instances of WoW.

Yet there is a sticky that says otherwise what to believe.

It probably says that you need a different WDB for each server, not that you should delete it every time you switch. Since that's not necessary, there's no reason to do it. You can keep a backup folder in your WoW directory to swap them around if you don't want two copies of WoW.

ofc but u cant copy the whole map and expect everything to be okay, u still need to get rid of the pvp patches. Only way is to delete wdb

Yeah but OP had a thing that deletes the folder every time you switch from one server to the other, which some admin had said not to do in another thread.
