LF Reassurance regarding leveling speed

The PvE server is on its way to the 3rd week of its release.expected's already a handful of 60s on both factions. I'm worried I'm leveling too slow so I'm hoping I'm wrong. Working a full time job limits a players ability to grind to 60 within that first week.

Last time I checked I was about 3 days 5-10 hours /played on my lvl 40 warrior. I've read the forums and knew in advance that leveling a warrior is both difficult and a headache. But I didn't think I'd fall 20+ levels behind.

Like title says. WTB reassurance that this is normal/ to be expected

Of course its normal. You are doing better than myself. Work/friend/beer/girlfriend. I am only level 26. Also remember, what you going to do when you hit 60? If not many other 60s around, won't have a chance to do raids. I suspect by xmas there will be enough 60s on the server to actually get a group together with the time to go start MC.

Level 40 as a warrior already? Aaand you have a life? Thats pretty decent speed there mate. Im still around 20, although im doing alot of low level stuff because im a completionist and havent played abnormally much but still. Dont worry about it. Lots of time and there wont be any new content for 2 months so plenty of time to get ready for MC and Ony and hopefully clear them

Given that Furious Paul's (famous power leveler) fastest time was approximately 117 hours played, as a hunter, I'd say you're slightly ahead of the curve. People that are already level sixty are pretty extreme outliers, given Paul's time. A person that plays with oustanding efficiency, for two hours per day, should reach level sixty, in about two months; four hours, one month, and so on. Of course that's based off of Paul's time, which is world class; your mileage may vary, even if following a guide.

However, at least that gives us an idea of what's possible. It will probably end up taking me about five weeks, maybe six, as I'm doing dungeons and their quests in place of any grinding, and I'm leveling tailoring and crafting as I go. I'm not in a huge rush, like I was when I was younger, these days, I like to stop and smell the roses. Plus, I just don't have as much time as I used to, and that's fine too. :)

I'm a hunter and still lvl 21. But I only really play on the weekends, and only for a few hours. I might sneak in an hour once or twice on a week night. Having fun though,so I'm not worried about it.

There's absolutely no reason to rush to the end game..at least I can't think of any. For me, hitting 60 can be the beginning of the road that leads to either starting another char, raid logging, or just not playing wow. Unless I want to play PvP on that char.

I haven't even decided yet which class I want to lvl, but seeing as playing a paladin almost made me want to jump off a cliff, I think I'll stick to a druid. Now to decide whether to lvl an ally or a horde druid....

I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

I still remember retail, playing with full heirloom and being LFG-addicted. 1-60 in a jiffy, missing most of the non-60 (raids) game content.
Well, not this time!!

Just to give you a better idea of where you are on the "curve":

As you can see, you are well ahead of most of the population. So as others have said, sit back and enjoy the ride.
