Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

In description of this talant said "gives you a 100% chance to get... if the target is killed by you while you drain its soul."

I spent 2 SP to this talent. I noticed that not a 100% chance to get the buff. I got my Soul Shard, but didn't receive a buff. Is it bug? Or if my pet killed mob, the trigger of this talent didnt count?

Patch 2.1.0 (22-May-2007): Abilities and items that are triggered when you kill a target are also now triggered when your pet kills a target.

Pretty stupid it took them that long to fix this on retail.

Ya if pet kills the target, it doesn't proc. Browse the warlock forums. they have a nifty macro that gets ur pet to stop attacking your drainsoul target.
