Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

hi guys

Im a returning original wow player who thought i would show some firends how old wow was and why im always complaining about the new one

Thsi server really looks to be a good choice especially considering it started up less than 30 days ago???

however im a bit concerned about the fact that multiple guilds are on/killed rag - my memory tells me you needed to farm dark iron items for your tanks etc

is it not as hard as back in the original? i know it was never hard to do MC however i assumed the resist gear was a standard which takes itme in itself.... + the reputation grind for quintesences

The difficulty is the same as far as I know. The main difference between then (original Vanilla) and now (Nostralius) is the fact that most, if not all, players raiding MC have been through it before. The strategies are down pat, and players know what to do already. The instance itself is not hard, it just takes coordination and a few tanks with high Fire Resist for Ragnaros. The Fire Resist does not have to come from Dark Iron Gear, any high level random green with +FR would be beneficial. There is also a mob in UBRS that gives a Fire Resistance buff to help bridge that gap.

As far as quintessences go, you only need one person to be able to douse the runes to be able to complete MC. It just takes more time. All you have to do is summon the individual from Azshara back to MC, douse the rune, then summon then back to Aszhsara to get another quintessence. Rinse and repeat.
