Is killing quest givers allowed?

by Zacharybinx34 » Tue Nov 17, 2015 9:43 pm

On the PVE server and some nerd keeps chain killing quest givers but it doesn't enable his PVP flag, so we can't do anything to stop it.

I think it's against the rules to abuse the killing of quest givers.
Apparently you don't even get flagged when you do it on the PVE server.

Both of these things aren't Blizzlike, but whatever.

As far as I know camping quest givers are allowed on a PVP server, so I assume the same rules apply to a PVE server. A GM would be able to clarify it though.

Here's a snippet from Simonich's post on Alliance raiding from the PVP server.

Simonich wrote:We took over entire Sentinel Hill, and killed whoever we could. Eventually there were 20 alliance lowbies gathered around the corpse of a quest giver. Many complaints from them ofcourse, thats what lead to an alliance resistance which turned this place to an epic battleground...

Now i certainly enjoyed this campaign. Lots of action happens once you camp a quest giver for awhile, but i noticed there is certainly MUCH more reaction when you have an army of lowbies with you. A numerous invasion feels more threatening, and gives the feeling of having to attack back more effectively.

That should indeed be allowed. What is more concerning is that people are not getting flagged by doing so - meaning you can't prevent opposite faction killing quest givers - and that could be interpreted as exploiting.

"I. Warning
For minor infringements. A warning is first given to inform a player about the rules and warn him about future sanctions. Warnings remain in the player's record.

Extensive killing of important quest NPCs"

So kill away if you please. Not getting flagged is a different matter.

Edit: Also in the terms: Bad = "Intentionally killing or disabling important quest NPCs for an extended period of time which exceeds 24 hours."

So if you just read the tou you wouldn't have to ask this. Make room for some ninja topics!

Its bug abuse in here because it should flag people for pvp. I would say warning and ban.
