AQ ? War effort

This question might have been asked already but couldn't find it in that case.

Can any of the GM's or forum moderators let us know why "The War effort" quests are currently in the game ?
Are we supposed to collect stuff already for in the far far future or ? This just bugged ?

i heard its caused by players using a script to start the war effort in order to force a server reset for the one single sole purpose of getting black lotuses to respawn, at the expense of the rest of the entire server

they said theyre gonna do something to increase the black lotus supply though, so hopefully they stop doing that now

I thought we were on Patch 1.4 - Honor system deployment.. "The Call to War".. This was launched May 2005.

"The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj" was in patch 1.9 - Jan 2006.. have we leaped ahead 8 months..

They're not supposed to be there and were removed from the PvP server. Devs probably forgot to remove them on the PvE server, similar to what happened to the 15 agi enchant.
