What class for endgame and what faction?

I just started playing on Nostalrius again and am enjoying it alot, currently as it is im leveling a tauren warrior but might want to do something different.

I never played vanilla when it was current on the retail servers, i started playing back towards the end of TBC so ive always wanted to experience vanilla content. Im really looking to get into raiding and such so im wondering what would be the best class to play?

Personally on the retail servers i have always been a tank but unsure if i want to continue with that on here or do something different. So any suggestions?!

also as the title states what would be the ideal faction? i heard horde could use more so should i stick with horde?

imho stick to Horde, and also Warrior tanks are always welcome.

Stay the course, tanks are always in need, and if it doesnt suit you once you reach end game, they're good fun in pvp, and dps warriors are amazing as well if you do not get a tanking spot.

warlocks seem to be in needs, as well as druids.

Tanks are always in need for dungeons however you'll be hard pressed to find a raid spot in my opinion unless you join a guild at the ground level.

Vanilla is a brutal grind, if you're good at your class you'll get a raid spot no matter the situation. Just play something you enjoy

Yeah ive seen that alot, every one always talking about there being a need of locks and druids.
i havent seen many myself while ive been leveling my warrior, a couple here and there but definitely more locks than druids it seems, maybe its just a zone thing.

I use to play a druid back in BC (it was my first character ever) but im not sure what druids are good for in vanilla, i hear mainly just healing but im personally not much of a healer. Are any of their other specs viable?

Feral is viable but there's really only room for one in a raid. Your best bet is Resto right now, once AQ is out things will change.
