BFD is a good dungeon to farm gold imo.
Most bosses drop blues that sell good and trash always good to sell also

Hmmm. Maybe I got very unlucky, but I did a BFD clear this weekend and only netted about 2 gold total. Is it more dependant on trash drops or blue drops from bosses?

If you're trying to make money, this isn't really an efficient way to do so.

At level 30+ Hunters and Warlocks, and even Priests/mages will have a fairly easy time farming Basilisks in Shimmering Flats. Other classes need a few more levels, otherwise you go through consumables too fast.

If you're also leveling cooking, the Tigers/Panthers in STV are better. Doing basilisks will net you upwards of about 10g an hour if you're a fast killer with few stops(hunter/warlock/priest) other classes will net slightly lower gold from doing this. 7-8 easily. This can be done at a much lower level compared to farming dungeons and it is easy enough to sit there for 2-3 levels and get all the gold you need for your mount and training. I haven't done the Panther/Tiger farm personally, but I hear it's a good alternative for those also leveling cooking.

The bonuses of doing it this way. One is that there's less overall attention to the game required, which means you can watch a TV show while doing it, or even get up frequently to do house work or just stretch. Others are that the mobs are close together, so little travel or downtime between kills, and there's also a mailbox and vendors/inn close by. This is also doable at level 30+, so you don't need to be a high level in order to farm this, compared to the levels you need for dungeon farming. Did I mention you also get XP for doing this?
